J Seger “Duets” Album Release Show Fundraiser
Join us at our new home at 2 Westwood Place for a fundraiser and album release show of “Duets” by J Seger.
We’ll be hosting this show in our raw future event space at 2 Westwood, just before construction begins. We’re currently fundraising to support both our ongoing work and our exciting expansion at 2 Westwood. All proceeds from this event will support these efforts.
The album “Duets” is a 3-song collaboration between J Seger + Larkin Farrar, Alison Antaramian, Emily Easterly. The show will see the group presenting the 3 songs from the album, as well as songs from the vocalist’s back catalog.

“I wanted to do something different vocally, so I asked Larkin, Alison, and Emily if they would listen to some demo sketches, and if inspired, to work out some vocal arrangements – I only loosely had the idea to use other vocalists and maybe explore something softer and well-crafted. There are no actual duets, it’s really just a theme of working together (hence the quotations). They each wrote beautiful melodies, we worked out the structure of the songs a bit, and then that evolved into them composing lyrics as well. I wanted to keep the production very simple and minimal, Alex Farrar at Drop of Sun helped realize that, and brought in a few friends for tracking – Jack Victor (drums), Dave Hartley (bass), Clay White (horns), Mike Johnson (pedal steel). Given the approach, everyone was very instrumental in pushing the songs to where they ended up. Everything just kinda worked and we were careful to hold a core vibe throughout the whole thing.”
