East West Asheville Summer Art Walk

Mark your calendars: the East-West Asheville Art Walk is back! This is an iterative neighborhood event organized by Lamplight AVL that welcomes art, music, performance, and community into the streets of East-West Asheville. At the summer walk 16 neighborhood businesses will host free arts-centered events, inviting the public to stroll between locations and experience the creative energy of the district.

Our current artist in residence, Keagan Wheat, will work on a full-length poetry collection and engage the community in writing poetry and crafting chaplets. Aliah Lavonne Jahan-Tigh and he will host a creative writing workshop and bookmaking workshop for the Asheville community.

Upcoming Resident: Zoie Reamer

During her time at the residency, Zoie will be working on oil paintings with corresponding projections, hand dyed soft sculpture, painted lamp pendants, as well as interactive sound installation.
Zoie will bookend her residency with an opening and closing event featuring music live music in an immersive environment
